To Nancy and Dom: O.K. I *will* have to define a "Table" won't I?
Here goes: A table is a grid-based text and line object, defined
independently from the rest of the document. Sort of like a small
bit of a spreadsheet in your document. Normally the table can have
both borders and internal divisions. It is *exactly* what you get in
a printed document when referred to "table 2b". For example, in
Microsoft Word I had a very fancy signature block defined in the
first page footer as a "table", with a date object which
automatically updated when you printed the document. There are lots
of things you can do with tables. You can tell if Protext has them
quite easily, there will be a command to "create table" and a
reference to tables in the index. Really, this is a fairly common
feature in high end word processors. Does Protext do anything like
that?
