You can make 35mm. slides of your Amiga artwork without spending $2500 for a
Polaroid Palette – just photograph the image on the monitor with a good
camera. A recent article in Vol.2, No.10 of Amazing Computing (plus some
comments in Vol.2, No.12) describes the basic method.
Brief summary: (1) darken the room (2) use a solid tripod (3) position the
camera *exactly* on the centerline of the screen (4) use a lens which fills
the frame with the camera about 8 to 10 feet from the monitor (5) shoot a
test film to determine the exposure for your conditions. I use Fujichrome
100 (which gives *very* bright colors), exposing for 1/2 second at f5.6.
