The way we determine size, very unscientifically, is to multiply the dots per
inch on the output by the size of the file. If I output a 2,700 x 2,100 image
to my 300dpi Mitsubishi DyeSub printer, I KNOW that it will be exactly 9" x
7" when it prints out.
