Hilary,
one thing you can try is to change the color palette the program is
using, if it will allow you to. Since I lost my kept messages in a crash,
and can't recall the better choices, I'm sure someone else could provide
some examples. Ask over in AutoPilot, if nothing else, since some people
still use AP on a non-flickerfixed machine.
