I'm not quite sure I follow: You can work on the full image at any soom level,
from "Fit in Window" to "1:1" to "32:1" to "1:32", etc. In addition, you can
use "partial edit" to select a portion of the image to work on, and then update
the full image (on disk) whenever you're satisfied.
