Steve, What level of AmigaDOS are you using? And also, did you upgrade to that level recently? Some guess's: In AmigaDOS 1.3, setmap should be in sys:system, if not, its time to copy it from your 1.3 master disks or your backup disks. I don't have 2.04 online so I cannot say for sure, but for AmigaDOS 2.1 and higher, there is no longer a setmap command. So if your s:startup-sequence is trying to run setmap, you may have saved your old startup-sequence during an upgrade. Get the new starup-sequence and use it instead. Put any of your extra startup commands you can into s:user-startup to make future OS upgrades easier. Using KeyShow with usa1 keymap and AmigaDOS 3.??, I found a pound symbol "#" as Alt-l. Of course that only works if your program wants to use it that way. AP just did but SAS/C's editor se has a macro set up there. // \X/ Amiga or bust! Gary Bonnstetter, Bonnsoft
