Ok, let me see if I can answer the questions System A4000 w 3.0 wb TNC – KAN KPC-3 Serial port speed – 9600. Further comment. I am using a GVP IOextender card for serial. It uses a device called gvpser.device. When using that device, I get the Bad IO message, when using the serial.device, I don't get it and when using the empser.device for my emplant, I dont get the bad io message. Now the GVP has the capability of running at much higher baud rates that the amiga serial port. As well is has a hardware buffer. Maybe some device issues with their implementation? I also have noticed that when doing ip stuff, I get lots of what look like complete packets back from the other station that the connection window never gets. maybe there is just one bit that is wrong and it gets rejected, but the biggest problem seem to be that I respond too fast and the other station doesn't hear me. One other note, I am using a repeater that is dedicated for packet. Thanks, Alan
