Hi, Guy– I am indeed afraid my thirst for a GPS will increase; I want to stay focused on getting a stereo microscope. Fortunately, the deuterium spectrum lamp Ken and I were talking of turned out to have a UV-opaque glass tube. Bear in mind 9600 bps or even 14.4K bps may be inefficient for passes involving a few messages from each of several forums. You might find it cheaper to downshift to 2400 for such things, reserving high speeds for passes involving large downloads. Which is the efficient speed will vary as CIS' pricing structure varies. Oops, I forgot you are paying the phone company for a toll call – that probably shifts the equation in favor of high speeds. Well, some study may be worthwhile anyway. –Doug
