Quo, There are two separate C courses in library 15. Both were presented by Vic Wagner. I had a small part in helping Vic with the second course. Like most things in the on-line world, the courses suffered from the limitations of the real world such as dwindling attendance, difficulty in responding to questions in conference, pressure of trying to follow the conversations while trying to frame questions, competing interests such as travel, work, family events etc. In retrospect, I would say that the courses were great fun and a useful experiment. In fact some of the folks who were here for the first course went on to become Amiga software developers. The courses were based on the Kernighan & Ritchie texts. Course 1 and text edition 1 was C. Course 2 and text edition 2 was ANSI C. Course 2 did not finish because of the very small class size. I always hoped to be able to restructure the course and present it again in a much more flexible format with loads of programming examples and different kinds of interactive get-togethers. But then my life took a nose dive. I went from a technical support specialist by day and college student by night to a technician who mainly vacuum cleans OCRs for the Postal Service by night. Such is life. Vic Wagner felt the pressures of keeping his business solvent especially with the unemployment problems in California. Larry Phillips never could be conned into presenting the assembly language programming course. (Gratuitous shot at Larry <hehe>) If you just want to try it own your own, all you need is a good compiler, Manx or SAS, the K&R text second edition and the files in library 15. I'm not on Compuserve quite as often as I used to be, but I'd be glad to answer any questions in the AmigaTech forum or by E-Mail. In fact I'd bet Vic would do the same as he's on almost every day.
