Shakespeare
I just picked up a copy of the new desktop publishing program "Shakespeare"
It has the new 1.3 printer drivers…and I am unable to get it to work
towards my Epson FX85 printer. I have selected "EpsonX" in preferences as my
chosen printer…and the instant I select "print" from Shakespeare's menu, I
get a guru visitation. This happens whether I boot from my normal workbench
(having copied the printer.device file and devs/printers directory to it, of
course) or boot from the Shakespeare disk. Has anyone else had this problem?
If so, how did you get it to work?
I should mention that I was successful in using the new printer driver with
ProWrite…but NOT if I used the new preferences program. If I set my
preferences using the OLD preferences program and the NEW printer drivers,
then everything worked as far as ProWrite was concerned (and ***much***
faster!!!).
