Man I feel like a politition!<G> (flip, flop, flip, flop…) IF thats the
case, then the Mac wins (until tomorrow, — flip, flop…)!! THe PowerMac was
faster than the DX2 66, but if large files are a problem with DOS and the
windows renderer is a lot slower, then the POwerMacs may be a better value
after all. (All of this is based on the 8100s, the 6100s, and 7100s are MUCH
cheaper, about the same as a DX2 66 and a P60).
Anyway, its all basically irrelevant, the faster the machines, the more
complex my scenes, I just can't win!!<G>.
Thanks for the insight on Corel. DXF output from illustrator would be nice!
For bitmaps, photoshop is my weapon of choice, (tons of GREAT plug-ins…).
Also, thanks for the Artisoft tip, I do need to connect my Macs and PCs at
home, and just can't justify a Novel Network!
