Jinny – Thanks for your message (#2177) and for the encouragement. After reading some other messages on VisSoft's board I realized we're not the only ones to whom the software does not come naturally. Notice also Sysop Nick Joseph's message which says "Renderize Live can be a bit daunting at first glance …". For me, it's still daunting at tenth glance. I guess you're right – it's just a matter of keeping at it until something clicks. My real hurdle is understanding the wells, the nine function buttons, the "view" icons under them, and when and how to use each. I have found myself at a screen only to realize it was necessary to back out to another screen and having no idea whatsoever as to how to get back to where I am supposed to be. I end up saving everything, selecting "new," and starting over. On your note about the forum which might give us more help – following is a listing of the Vendor A Forum opening message, which might be the one you referred to – except it seems to put the ball back in the vendor lap. Here it is: "Welcome to the Animation Vendor A Forum! Members are encouraged to support the Association of Shareware Professionals and the Shareware Concept. THE FOCUS OF this forum is to offer technical support for the software, hardware and service companies represented here. We ask that discussions unrelated to technical support issues be handled in our Graphics Support Forum (GO GRAPHSUP) in the appropriate message section, or via CompuServe mail when appropriate. PLEASE SEND MESSAGES requesting support directly to the User IDs below, in the appropriate section, rather than to SYSOP or *SYSOP. We have to manually reroute any messages not directed to the proper IDs, which can delay response to your problem. USE PUBLIC MESSAGES rather than Mail whenever possible; you can receive a more informed response from the many product users and vendor reps who are here, and your public question can help those who have like problems. YOU CAN GET support directly from the following companies through their representatives, who are also listed here: 01 New Animation Vendors (various) 02 Hash, Inc. Steven Sappington [74431,3563] GO HASH 03 Impulse Mike Halvorson [72662,3330] GO IMPULSE 04 Byte By Byte Scott Peterson [74431,3462] GO BYTEBYBYTE 05 Visual Software Nick Josephs [74431,3611] GO VISSOFT PLEASE NOTE THAT each of our Libraries, Message Sections and Conference Rooms are organized by the product vendors." Thanks again for taking the time to respond. — gtm –
