#Help Stop IBM
I know someone that is about to spend $20,000 on a IBM with custom boards.
They want to capture revolving auto parts via video camera and store them
on disk. They want to capture a full revolution of the part, and be able
to play it back on the computer by entering the part# into a database. They
also plan on printing a parts catalog from the data captured. I figure a
AMIGA 2500 with a 300meg drive – flickerfixer – and a highend monitor can
beat the IBM. What hardware/software would you recommend for the capture
of the data? Is there a package that would play back the data, maybe
interfaced via AREXX/SuperBase Pro? I can handle the Postscript printing
end of the project.
