Hi, I'm UK based, and new to the world of DTV, but learning fast.
In response to your query, 2 vendors products spring to mind for low cost video
capture and editing.
The first is VideoLogic and their products including the 928-Movie or PCI-Movie
cards for video display. Both allow add-on cards e.g. video capture, MPEG
decoder etc. to be connected via the VESA Media Channel.
The second is a small, but growing company called SAI Technologies based in
London. They are just about to release an MPEG based video acquisition,
editing, compression and playback product onto the market at just under L2K
(-camera). It will work up to 30fps and provides a host of features. Video
