Hi Chris, I'm sorry but I don't have any experience with either the Montages or the D/Vision systems. Hopefully someone else here can pipe up with opinions or comments. Is all of your work going to be off-line or do you also want to do some on-line stuff too? I am familiar with the FAST Video Machine and their Digital/Player Recorder and the neat thing about it is that you don't have to render transitions as the DP/R board provides to digital inputs while the Video Machine board does the titling, transitioning, etal. If you have looked at the FAST DP/R system and decided on the Montage or D/Vision systems instead of it, I would be highly interested in hereing your reasoning for that decision.
