Why GIF ?
I've had very good results using JPEG for floppy transfers from Amiga to
PC or Mac. Much less loss than GIF I would imagine.
Have you checked the Amiga Libs here ? Theres gotta be something.

I wonder if anyone REALLY uses PCs or Macs for doing desktop video ?????
Does Quicktime count ? :^)
