Just found this forum, and I'm very pleased it's here.
I'm an independent film- and video-maker in England. I do a lot of corporate
work, some TV, music videos and so on. Mostly to broadcast standard, using pro
gear and facilities houses and so on, but I also have the beginnings of a DTV
set-up here at home. Not much at the moment – a genlock overlay board and
frame grabber. Waiting to make a deal more money so I can move up to a
PC-controlled editing system (probably Video Machine) and ultimately full
hard-disk based, non-linear editing (again probably VM with DPR).
Hopes for this forum: that it becomes the central place for info, questions,
announcements and so on about DTV on Compuserve. That the sharing of
experiences helps all of us get to grips with DTV. That we all have more fun
with it!
