The FAST Video Machine is available for both the MAC and IBM Compatibles.
It offers the Digital/Player Recorder board for two simultaneous streams
of live, digital video and audio at 60fps. I think a complete system, not
including the hard drives or the cpu itself can start as low as about
$9500 or so.
The NewTek Video Toaster Flyer is only available for the Amiga at this
time. As I understand it the Flyer portion is not machine specific. I
know that NewTek has some agreements with companies that typicalyy work in
the IBM world, "Xaos Tools" or something, so maybe that is what that
company is doing… generating a PC interface to the Flyer's non-linear
input and output.
