Hello.. introduction
Glad to see this forum open. I think it will be a great service
for a technology that is growing faster than the weeds in my back
yard.
I have been active in video as a hobby for a bit over a year now.
I have been using the Videonics line of linear editing products
and am now upgrading some of my equipment to take advantage of my computer. I
am listing several items in the classifieds of this
forum for those who may be interested in some good Videonics products.
I have tried to get into digital video editing (without spending an arm and a
leg), but so far I have been disappointed with the
quality and pixelation associated with full screen playback. Even with a 66Mhz
computer, capturing 30fps is nearly impossible without super fast disk drives.
I am now using the computer to take advantage its capability as an edit
controller and titler, but
still use my MX-1 mixer for switching.
The computer has made logging video much easier, but for now I
plan to stick to old fashoned linear editing for a while longer.
