Hi Doug- The matrix is indeed quite fine, and since I can't get it to do much of anything, I'm convinced it's a mudstone-type of thing. Acid certainly does nothing. Temporary solution: using my Bernoulli disk to access CI$. No, deleting mail isn't automatic with CI$, but it is with my automation software, and no way to turn it off.
