They convince everyone of the need for a "formal degree-program education" so that teachers will have a job. And, of course, someone has to train the teachers, so enter the college education departments. And, someone has to run the colleges, so enter the accountants, lawyers, etc. And, someone has to get the money for the schools, so enter the tax collector and politician. And then, the teachers have to be certified, so enter the state government bureauracies. Had enough? The lowest organism on this education food chain is the student (and possibly the parent to foot the bill). All in the name of "education." The old adage holds, "Buyer Beware!" Regards, Bob
