As an adavnced amateur videographer, I'm glad your online. for your info I've
been using Hi8 for about four years and 8mm before that. I was an early
purchaser of a Sony edit board VME-100, but was quickly frustrated with the 8
scene limit. I've graduated to a V-deck and post record the RC code on my
tapes prior to editing. I currently use Video Director 1, and will move to VD2
when they get the drivers straightened out. Early on I used a Toshiba 1100+
with a composite output for B&W titles. I'm thinking of moving to a VGA to
NTSC converter as an up-grade. I doubt if I can justify a full genlock set-up
in addition, but I'll be tuning into the forum for comments and tips.
