Hello, I'm Fremer Huijgen and work for a company "Studio PC" who sells and integrates all sorts of graphical systems. As the name of the company tries to suggest we are pc-based (as opposed to Mac or workstation). We are based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Desktop video is just one of the elements we are interested in. We are also very active in DTP, 3D-modelling, pre-press, etc. I am happy with this forum as we are allways trying to learn from the experience of users of dtv systems. At the moment our DTV offerings are limited to Premiere, the Personal Animation Recorder, and the Miro DC1-TV. But we are continuously looking into interesting products and feel that our best input comes from active users. So I'll be mainly listening to the producers over here, but if I can help out with some hints and tips on the hardware front I'll be pleased to do so. There is one certainty: there is no such thing as plug and play multi media and we gathered a lot of experience while assembling DTV systems for professional animators and videostudio's. BTW: there are interesting guys in the Autodesk Multimeda hardware forum with an active interest in DTV. I regularly follow that area; are they noticed by the Sysop of this forum ? Maybe they want to partipicate too.
