Just noticed your DTV FORUM and it's now on my "favorite places " icon.
Ive been playing around with multimedia for about a year now and I am glad to
see this forum.
I am a Conference Technical Director – Producer and have until recently used
video tape and 35mm slides for Opening Ceremonies and Speaker support material
etc.
I intend to gradually replace the stack of VCR,s and slide projectors with a
couple of PC,s, and do most things direct from the hard disk to large (16' x
12') sceens via Sony 1272 Data Projectors.
The main problem with digitised video is the low resolution. Each pixel being
about an inch square when the image is enlarged to 16 feet across.
I've Lived in Sydney Australia for 14 years now and still miss the "WHITE
CHRISTMAS's" in Oregon.
Yesterday it was 40 degrees celcius ( 110 F), so no "CHESSNUTS ROASTING ON AN
OPEN FIRE" for us folks down under…
