Hello, I have just discovered this forum. I am a desktop video producer in the Seattle area. We use S-VHS Hi-Fi format and a Video Toaster System in post-production. We have produced a number of videos of NW area bands, and have produced shows for broadcast comprised of our video projects. We are obviously excited that we can produce "broadcast quality" programming with our "entry-level" gear, and have established some extremely valuable contacts in and around the music business in this area, as well as among area videographers, audio and video studios, and area printers, audio and videotape duplicators, makers of audio CDs and CD-ROMs. We are members of the Puget Sound Video Alliance, and provide technical consultation to the Creative Community Access Television group, a not-for-profit corporation attempting to establish and regulate a cable, user, and government supported Public Access Cable Channels in the Tacoma and Pierce County Area. No, they don't have any Public Access Cable at this time. I am also interested in multimedia production, using the Macintosh platform. I use a 660AV, which is roughly equivalent to a Quadra 900, except with built-in AV capability, including stereo 16-bit audio, S-Video in, an on-screen video monitor, and the ability to output S-Video. Am currently evaluating my options re: Adobe Premiere, MacroMedia's Director, SpigotPower AV, and more. Any tips will be welcomed.
