Hi Sandra, I am an avid Videonics user myself, although I don't have any claim to fame yet. I only do video as a hobby for my friends and the boating organization of which I belong. I started out by ordering the EditMaker and ended up sending it back after spending three frustrating days trying to make tapes without a LANC tape deck to go with it. I had just bought my first camcorder and taken the usual "footage" shots when I decided I needed a way to edit the video. I sent off for the Editmaker with great expectations. That was a year ago. I have since purchased a LANC playback deck, but have abandoned ever wanting to go back to the EditMaker. I am now using the Video Director 2.0 for Windows to control my deck and it allows quick logging of video footage and maintains a database with a storyboard to display 1st frame of each clip. I also have the MX-1 mixer, which is a really nice piece of equipment. I am just now trying to sell my titlemaker and Thumbs Up edit controller and Video Equalizer. I am using the computer more and more to supplement the video making process.
