Another choice is DVision Pro 2.2 from TouchVision systems. You can find out
more by going into the utiltools section and getting into the DVision forum by
typing GO DVISION. (GO ULTITOOLS is the IBM multi media forum.).
DV PRo 2.2 is $4,950 requires a 486/33 with 8 MB ram and a fast SCSI
(Micropolis AVseries Drives work nicely). It uses all off-the-shelf hardware
so you can create a fabulous system using readily available technology and new
stuff as it comes out.
The digitizer and delivery boards are the 30 FPS ActionMedia II cards from
Intel and IBM. Effective 1/95, TouchVision will give away the boards with the
purchase of Pro software. This spring we have plans to upgrade the program to
Broadcast Quality better than the Cube still using off the shelf hardware. (
