Hi Igor, In my most humble opinion, as a lowley infidel, I would suggest that you study the ramifications of the collector. He is the one that went out into the hinterlands to attempt to locate the mineral specimens that you might be interested in. He is the one who busted his butt collecting the "tourmaline" or whatever for your pleasure. "Blue Book",? Bull S…! In this hobby of mineral collecting, you pay for quality, clarity, perfection, rarity & availability. If the speciman does not conform to your standards, then reject it. On the other hand, if you see a speciman that "you can not possibly go home without", then you might want to buy it. And forget the blue book! Rod
