Hi Frank I've got an almost identical system to yours. I haven't had a need to clip more than about 30 seconds. I will experiment and let you know what I find out. Talk to you near or after XMas. FYI I'm running a Pentium 90 with 16Mb memory, 512k cache, a Maxtor 540Mb hard drive and an older version of the Micropolis SCSI 1.7Gb hard drive as my main storage device. I have one of the PCI SCSI 2 controllers built by Adaptec, but i haven't put it in yet. I'm using a VESA SCSI 2 controller for it. So this may be something to look at. Don't dump the Adaptec yet. Let me see if I generate the same problems. . . Shelden
