Robert,
I think even the 3000X2000 pixels of true-color in 'consumer' resolution's
going to beat out the Betacam. My S-Video looks shameful in comparison.
Perhaps the important question is what's the capacity of your video board to
output this image to Betacam? Essentially, you've got the equivalent of three
1024X768 screens of information surging into a funnel. No sense at all in
going 'pro' if your board's no better than 'consumer' (it's probably worse).
