Personally Scott, I'm convinced that those stereogram deals are the emperor's
new clothes! Person A says, "Hey, look at this and you'll see a 3D-whatever!"
Person B, not wanting to admit that try as he might, he can't see ANYTHING,
says, "Oh yeah, I see it! Neat!" He then proceeds to tell HIS friends, etc.

Really, based on some new messages in this thread, I'm not really convinced
that I know what _I'm_ talking about anymore. It now seems to me that the
question of should the mirror AND the relection both be in or out of focus will
depend on the depth of field of the lens and the distance between the mirror
and the object being reflected — ie if you focus past the mirror onto the
reflection, which is some virtual distance behind the mirror plane, and the
mirror itself then lies outside the focal range, then the reflection is IN
focus, but the mirror itself OUT of focus.
One thing I know for sure is _I'm_ out of focus, and I wish I remembered more
from my jr. high science class when we spent quite a bit on time on lenses and
virtual images!
