The posting I read on the NewTek BBS from one of NewTek's people indicated
that it was NewTek cherry-picking the drives and left me with the impression
that only they would be supplying them. That could be a misunderstanding on my
part. If I remember, I'll copy the posting for here.
One issue that bothers me is that if a drive goes down, you're out of luck on
just slapping in a temporary replacement. The last two drives I sent in for
warranty repair/replacement took more than a month to be returned. I would
prefer that you could use any old fast SCSI-2 drive as a temporary unit if you
had to.
