Even when using the 1Meg chip set, an Amiga can only hold about 8 full frames when doing page-flipping. Obviously, if you have lots of Fast RAM the CPU can transfer additional frames into Chip RAM as the old ones are used up, extending your animation. My question is: what kind of frame rate can I expect when a 68000 is used? A 68020? What about programs that read directly from hard disk? Again, I'm not talking about compressed animations, but full-page movement. Thanks people! My first of many messages in the months and years to come! Blaq!
