Not sure why you would be losing characters with the chat window open since the
modem receiver is interrupt driven. Does it happen often? As far as the
translation tables go, its a bit tedious but you have to translate characters
from 80-FF to 00-7F on both the keyboard/display or the COM in/out tables. A
better solution is to configure your service to 8N1 (if possible). What happens
when you try to dial the R/S modem at 7E1?
