I'm converting Aegis Draw to Aztec as I type this (I'm a beta tester). What's the difference??? Aegis Draw was 79K of object in Lattice, Aztec has shrunk that down to 44K and the floating point math is only 20x (that's TIMES, not %) faster. I've got all the modules compiled … the program doesn't run right because I am probabilly missing a cast somewhere (you have to cast all arguments to Amiga Library Functions to long … Aztec has an include file for defining the types of Amiga Functions) … this is due to the 16 bit vs. 32 bit int … but I don't think I'll go back to Lattice since my compile times are about 5x faster (on the hard disk even better) . A hello-world type program (using stdio.h only) can go from edit to run in about 1 min (less if you use RAM:)… They haven't released it yet … and there are some bugs … but it looks like a great product. * Reply: 2395
