For the things that we are doing. (Sound effects triggering and sweetening) The 8 bit sample is not a real problem. With compression the quality is better than cart machines and there is no re-cue time…I can have 30 samples totalling six minutes all instantly accessable and four can be played at the same time. With three machines chained with midi control that is the equal of ninety cart machines. That is hard to do with a sampling keyboard. The quality is fine for everything but some music can sound flat. I saw that AudioMaster II can play back at 44K but the direct hardware is an unacceptable solution. I guess we are doomed to the 22K rate until a DSP card becomes avail. As for the 130K loop, looping that is no problem, nor is tagging on another 130K after that plays without missing a beat. But that takes processor time. There seems to be no way around the custom chip limit of 130K. Thanks for all the help, Jeff
