Advice needed! I just had a somewhat harrowing experience: my trusty Apple Crate external SCSI drive (based, I believe, on an ST277N) failed for the first time since I bought it about four years ago. It did not go through its normal power on sequence (where a variety of chirping and stepper motor <?> sounds are heard) and could not be accessed by my StarDrive module. I tried cycling the power a number of times, checked cables, etc., all to no avail — when suddenly it went through the startup sequence and began behaving normally (I'd left the power on). Has anyone else had this happen to them? And does anyone have any idea what it means or what I should do? I haven't opened the drive case in four years, maybe the air filter needs cleaning or something?? !!!!One Scared Amigoid!!! – Mark
