Yah… that one story is even worse :^) I took my a1000 from Florida to Pennsylvania. I wanted to show my mother SuperBase – she's a literary agent, and HATED her IBM. AHa, sez I, I'll just whiz-bang her and she'll get an Amiga an we'll be an all-amiga family (laready convinced my sister and bro in law and nephew…) so, I put Ami in the back of the car, and drive it a few thousand miles. Set it it up, start SuperBase… and… no dongle, it quits. Oh! sez I. It's in the car. Be right back. So I run toi the car, run back (over moms persian wool rug) and stick the dingle damned dongle into the mouse port. zzzZZZZAAP! Screen goes blank. Never at a loss for words, I sez to mom: "See, it's just that easy!" Then, tears of frustration leaking from my orbs, I dragged my (dead) ami back to the car. This is NOT how to show off your computer. Happy ending: Mom has a 2000HD now. :^))))
