Actually the price of the A500 has been $499 in places like Montgomery
Wards – it's just that Commodore will sell to the dealers so they can offer
the A500 for $499. But, the $499 Amiga 500 is a 512K RAM system with no
external disk drive (pretty much have to have at least 1 Meg RAM nowadays).
