That's the way warranty should work, but it depends on the mother company, and
what they pay for warranty service. It also depends on the dealer, and the
agreement they have with the company. I used to do warranty work, and
_never_ refused a warranty ticket. Did take a loss on some of it though.
There were different agreements I could choose from though. One even _stated_
that I was authorized to service (in warr) product that I sold, but was _not_
authorized to service product I didn't sell.
Does anybody know if Commodore pays fair rates? If so, they could solve this
problem by requiring the service center to service all Amigas in the service
contract.
