#Price Cuts?
Well, I simply have to disagree. If the Amiga came PC compatable I feel
CBM would sell alot more of them. Many people need/require PC compatiblity
but really like the Amiga. CBM may not have sold that many BB (I don't
know if they have or not) but I think the Amiga would have done alot better
had it been PC compat. from the start, or at least from the 2000 on. Most
people don't even relise that there IS a PC option for the Amiga due to it
not being well published/known etc. When I tell them that YES it can run
PC software with a card, they are suprised, the next question they ask
often is…is it 100% compt? followed by, does it run as a 386 and have
VGA? This is where I loose them. I don't know why soooo many people
like/want need 386 speed, but as the 386 far outsells the 286 PC's now I
would say that most of them do, or feel they do. If that is due to what
they have been told they need, or what THEY actualy know they need is not
the point the point is, thats what they want, and if the Amiga don't have
it, they don't buy it!
