Don, Without knowing more, there are too many variables as to why you can't get the B&P Demo to receive Midi input from your Roland D-50, to pinpoint the problem right now. However, unless you have a corrupted disk, it is not the program's fault. For starters, make sure the input arrow is selected for the track you want to record on, that there is a Midi In Tool on the Input Pipeline of that track, a Midi Out Tool on the Output Pipeline of the same track, and the track's output channel is set to the same channel as the D-50's channel. This will just allow you to play and hear what you've played. To actually record, set the same track to Track Record Mode so a red "R" is displayed, set the Sequencer to Sequencer Record Mode, by clicking on the Record Button in the Transport Controls, and then click on the Start Button in the Transport Controls to actually begin recording. When finished, press Stop in the Transport Controls, then Start to play back your recording. Your notes should appear in the Sequencer Window. Also, make sure you have the D-50 hooked up correctly. Your Midi Interface should be hooked up to the serial port of the Amiga. The Midi Out of the D-50 should be connected to the Midi In of the Interface, and the Midi In of the D-50 should be connected to the Midi Out of the Interface. Please let me know how you make out.
