Monitor woes– Help!

This sounds like a magnetization problem. Make sure that there are no speakers, other monitors or any source of magnetic fields close to the NEC. Also don't rotate it. Since the monitor has a built in degausser that operates each time it is turned on, try turning it on and off several times a day for a few days. There is a good chance that the problem will go away. If it doesn't, a more powerful degausser may be needed. Any TV repair shop should be able to do it. Peter.
