CDR-80 audio out
The appropiate "cable" is in fact a small circuit board which is only to my
knowledge available from NEC but they don't really sell them cause they
don't really make them but if they have a spare they might send it to you.
Otherwise, the manufacturer (whose name slips my mind but NEC should have
it) might send you a free sample or might make you buy one for about 100
bucks. They are custom made by this one company in the mid-west. If this
all sounds weird to you it sounded pretty weird to me too. When you call
NEC make your argument based on the fact that the reason you selected the
drive was because of the audio output so they ought to either provide the
connector at a reasonable price or switch to a standard interface.
Your other alternative is to contact me in a couple of months after I've
upgraded to their new 80M and I'll send you the connector NEC sent me
gratis.
