BCPL = Basic Complete Programming Language..!? (I think!). BCPL is a totally portable structured language. It is so portable that it doesn't even have floating point variables, or in fact ANY typing! BCPL has one method of storage; The BCPL Word. (Those awful pointers that you have to asr #2 before use!) On a 68020 with barrel shifting, BCPL will really fly! I'm not defending BCPL at all. In fact, I'd much prefer MetaComco to use machine code !
