The composite coming from the A1000 without the genlock was much sharper than
the combined image coming from the Genlock, so I definitely do not agree with
you there. Also, there have been many more experienced desktop producers who
have published comments to that effect.
The video is much true to the clarity that I receive when the output is
directed to a composite monitor. 80 column text is less fuzzy on recordings
than past recordings using both of the above (we are talking first
generation….)
