#Greetings
Thanks for your good wishes! I have thought about the 3rd opinion, but
feel in no rush right now. Going to see first doctor next week and
interrogate him about his opinion and treatment and demand to know why he
even considered giving me the drugs I refused to take–drugs whose side
effects are cancer and kidney failure! With insurance (thank god for
that!) it'll only cost me $8 to get that off my chest. This guy is highly
respected, so I think I need to resolve this.
But, let's think gardening now! I have snowdrops beginning to bloom. My
Arnold's Promise Witchhazel ins't blooming yet, sicne we are having a cold
snap. For the first 3 years of its life in my garde the plant bloomed on
Feb 1!! so I am keeping my eyes peeled.
I am giving a talk on winter gardening at Planting Fileds Arboretum on
Tuesday Feb 11. It is a day-long seminar on Four-Season Garden, and I am
also the moderator. Got a good line-up of speakers: Suzanne Bales (Burpee),
Wayne Winterrowd and Joe Eck (designers and writers for Horticulture), and
Jim & Conni Cross (nurseryman and designer).
