I have several floribunda type roses in containers in inland San Dieg
County, California. The only trouble we have with them is to keep mites
away during warm weather. I have never had problems with spider mites on
roses planted in normal beds, but I have discovered that in this locale the
mites just luv 'em when it gets warm. The only thing I have seen locally
is to use a systemic insecticide such as Di-Syston, which I know needs to
be handled with specaial caution – its quite toxic. Does any rose fans out
there know any different techniques they've dealt with mites, especially on
roses in containers? Michael Maculsay 70700,2667
