Re 'aligning the pad' on optical mice (Boing!, etc), I can't imagine anyone having a problem with it, frankly. It's not really 'aligning the pad', rather it is aligning your hand and the mouse movement. I found it I hope someone else speaks up, who has experience with Boing! or another optical mouse. The alignment thing is a non-issue as far as I can tell? But…. if you are in a situation where your Amiga is being used by others regularly, who are used to a regular mouse, then you may want a roller mouse. No one will be surprised in that case. I've heard very good things about the newer Commodore hires mouse. Again, I hope someone here speaks up who has it. Good luck. –jp–seattle–
