Jonathan, I would suggest that you look at some of the technical magazines
for the Amiga. Currently, there are AMIGAWORLD TECH JOURNAL and AMAZING
COMPUTING TECH JOURNAL. Some time ago, there were two others: AMIGA
APPRENTICE AND JOURNEYMAN and TRANSACTOR. Of course, all of these things
are explained in the Rom Kernal Manuals which you can buy at most
bookstores (they are not cheap!). The best overview I read was one that
came out very early – about 1986 – called THE KICKSTART GUIDE TO THE AMIGA,
published by Ariadne in England.
